Scott’s path into coaching started as an athlete. Growing up, he saw first-hand how proper technique and programming could be the difference between staying on the field and sitting out — and that stayed with him.
He studied Exercise Science at William Penn University in Iowa while playing college baseball, then secured a coaching internship at Cressey Sports Performance in Massachusetts — one of the most respected strength and conditioning facilities in the world, known particularly for its work in shoulder injury prevention and individualised training.
That foundation is evident in how Scott coaches. He’s thorough, technically precise, and genuinely invested in understanding how each client moves before asking them to move more. Clients with complex injury histories, desk-bound posture, or performance goals tend to thrive under Scott’s programming.
At State of Fitness, Scott is a Senior Coach and a key part of what makes the team work. He’s the kind of coach who makes hard things feel manageable — and who remembers the details that matter.
